DORMERO Hotel Coburg
DORMERO expands further in Franconia
Martin Luther described Coburg as an “extremely delightful place”. DORMERO chairman Marcus Maximilian Wöhrl fully supports this statement and secures the 10th hotel in Bavaria in this historical town.
So, it’s not quiet around the hotel chain, which is constantly announcing new acquisitions. On 05.01.2019, the DORMERO hotel chain will welcome its guests to the Romantik Hotel Goldene Traube. The lease was signed yesterday evening by DORMERO chairman Dr Wöhrl and the previous owners of the Prestige Hotel- und Gastronomie GmbH, Bernd und Barbara Glauben.
Quit while you’re ahead/If it’s not broke, don’t fix it
Over 25 years, Bernd and Barbara Glauben have transformed the Romantik Hotel Goldene Traube into a hotel known far beyond the town of Coburg. Accolades, such as a Michelin star for the Gourmet Restaurant Esszimmer, have made the hotel famous among guests and the industry alike. Almost wistfully, the couple say they are happy to have found a professional operator in DORMERO: “We have worked a lot in recent years and much of our private life has fallen by the wayside, so we decided to step back at some point in the future. Quit while you’re ahead/If it’s not broke, don’t fix it. Then a good offer arrived just in time meaning we could turn our plans into reality.”
Rich in tradition and innovative
First opened in 1760 and steeped in tradition, the future DORMERO Hotel Coburg has over 68 rooms and suites as well as three meeting rooms for up to 100 guests. Along with a Michelin star restaurant and one of the innovative DORMERO restaurant concepts, the hotel offers a 300m2 recently redesigned fitness and wellness area with fitness equipment, various saunas and a relaxation area so there’s space for relaxation and sport. In the DORMERO Hotel Coburg, Am Victoriabrunnen 2, the typical DORMERO standards, such as free Wi-Fi, a minibar, current feature films and much more, won’t be missing.
