DORMERO Hotel Nürnberg

Number 50 comes to Nuremberg

The Berlin hotel chain has signed a contract with TETRIS Grundbesitz AG for an 83-room hotel at Großweidenmühlenstrasse 36 at the gates to Nuremberg's historic old town.
The currently vacant office building is to be converted by the beginning of 2027 and will then be the most modern and sustainable hotel in the region.

The circle closes

The DORMERO Group has wanted a hotel in the Franconian metropolis for years. "We were often close to it, be it the main train station or the trade fair. But we wanted something special, not a standard location for which some non-local managers from other chains offered rents that were too high," says CEO Manuela Halm. Now a door has opened through TETRIS Grundbesitz AG, which is already the landlord of several DORMERO hotels and is owned by the Wöhrl family. "This gave us an immediate match," Halm continues, "everyone knew what the other wanted and we came together."

A whopping €12 million investment volume

"The hotel is set to become the flagship of the DORMERO Group. 5-star quality for the price of 3 stars. As the landlord, we will make our contribution to this with a construction volume of €12 million and make not only DORMERO, but all Nuremberg residents proud," says Hans Rudolf Wöhrl, co-partner of TETRIS Grundbesitz AG. Michael-Hartmut Berger CCO adds: "With Roth, Reichenschwand and Hersbruck, we have already set a successful course in the Nuremberg region, and now the big one is coming.
