DORMERO APARTHotel STRALSUND

MARITIME. MODERN. TYPICAL DORMERO.

Welcome to Stralsund – the UNESCO World Heritage city where brick Gothic architecture meets the cries of seagulls and the view across the Strelasund promises freedom. Between historic alleys, Hanseatic harbor flair, and proximity to the island of Rügen, DORMERO brings a breath of fresh air to the Baltic Sea.

The former Hotel Maakt, which had to close its doors in 2025 after the previous operator went bankrupt, is now entering a new chapter. The once-quiet building is once again becoming a place full of life, encounters, and stories. The reopening as the DORMERO Hotel Stralsund is planned for April.

With 100 rooms and 8 apartments, the unmistakable DORMERO spirit is moving into the historic old town. Modern design, clean lines, and the familiar mix of comfort, character, and a touch of whimsy create a hotel that perfectly matches the maritime atmosphere of the city.

For DORMERO, Stralsund is more than just another location. The city stands for history, vastness, and the Baltic Sea lifestyle—values that fit the brand perfectly. At the same time, this expands the network in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania to three hotels, in addition to the existing locations on Rügen and in Greifswald.

The revitalization of the hotel is also a strong signal for the region: a location steeped in tradition is being reimagined and given a future with fresh energy, modern hotel design, and international flair.

Perfect as a starting point for hikes in the Palatinate Forest, trips across the nearby French border, or a stroll through the surprisingly diverse cultural scene of southwest Rhineland-Palatinate.

DORMERO has fully switched to digital payments: only cards are accepted.
