A cultural promotion tax applies in Weimar.
All persons aged 18 and over who stay overnight in the survey area are required to pay the tax. A flat rate of EUR 3.20 (EUR 2.25 cultural promotion tax in a double room and EUR 0.95 processing fee) per person per night is charged. Business travelers with appropriate written proof from their employer and additional prior written notification to the hotel are exempt.
